In the summer of 2017, as part of its 65th birthday celebrations, the Efteling, a world renowned Dutch theme park, opened its latest attraction Symbolica, a fantasy palace. ETF was involved in the construction of this beautiful, covered family attraction. We are therefore very proud that the attraction has recently been awarded a prestigious THEA Award in the United States, the 'Oscar of the theme park world'.
The THEA Award is presented each year by the TEA, the organization which unites designers and developers of theme parks and theme locations worldwide. In its report, the jury said a.o.: Symbolica is a world-class attraction in which a story comes to life in an innovative way. This has been combined with astonishing creativity, imagination, craftsmanship, detailed theming, lifelike animatronics and the ETF trackless transport system that allows the vehicles to move in all possible directions.
